Volga- Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart church for Joseph Baker, 79, who died Wednesday at his home after an extended illness. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Baker had spent most of his life in Volga. Surviving are his wife, the former Lizzie Strukoff; two sons, Frank, at home, and Charles, of Elkader; a daughter, Margaret, at home, and a granddaughter.
