Elkader- Donald F. Henning, 55, a retired farmer, died Thursday morning at Central Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Survivors are his wife, Ivanelle; three sons, Ronald of Independence, Randy Lee and Richard of Elkader; and a daughter, Kathy Ann Tompkins of Waterloo; his mother, Edna Henning of Farmersburg; two sisters, Ilo Mae Best and Vanell Miller; a brother, Dale of McGregor; and four grandchildren.

Services: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Bethany Lutheran Church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Witt's. Burial: Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg.
