Monona- Funeral services for Miss Zoe Smith, 68, who died at the home of her brother, Horace Smith, following a lingering illness, were held at the home with the Rev. H. W. Farnham, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the city cemetery.
Miss Smith was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Smith and was born on a farm near Farmersburg on March 27, 1872. She attended the Clayton County rural schools and Monona High School. She taught in several schools in the county following her graduation and in 1890 she moved with her family to Monona, since her home.
Her brother survives.
