OBITUARY
LOUIS H. MEYER
The funeral over the remains of Louis H. Meyer who died Friday morning was held from the family home in Badger, Minn., Sunday, at 2 o’clock p. m. Rev. J. I. Nystuen, of Roseau officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Village cemetery.
Louis H. Meyer was born at Elkport, Iowa, Jan. 6, 1858 and died July 6, 1923, being 65 years and 6 months old. Oct. 15, 1878 he was married to Miss Caroline Muller and to which union 8 children were born.
In January, 1904 the family moved to Lyon county, Minn., where they resided one year and a half at Ghent and 7 years at Tracy, moving to Badger in the fall of 1912. Three years last fall Mr. Meyer moved from the farm in Stokes to Badger and for two years acted as engineer for the light plant. His health began to fail him over a year ago and death was due to cancer of the aesophagus. [sic]
Besides the widow there remains 7 children to mourn his passing, namely Mrs. G. C. Parson, Grace City, N. D., J. W. Meyer, Tracy, Minn., Mrs. M. J. Cagley, Bruce, Wis., Fred C. Meyer, Grace City, N. D., Mrs. A. O. Askim, Geo. A. Meyer and Charles L. Meyer of Badger. A daughter, Mrs. John Kelly died Dec. 8, 1919. There are also 2 sisters Mrs. Minnie Miller and Mrs. Lambert Sickel, Farmersburg, Iowa, and a brother Rudolph A. T. Meyer of Roseau.
