[From the Thurs., 15 July 1886 issue of the “Elkader Register,” National News section, page 8, column 2]

Fritz Faber died at his father’s home on Monday at 10 a. m., on his 48th anniversary. The funeral took place Tuesday, and it was well attended. Rev. Zimmerman of Monona, officiating. He leaves behind a young wife and three children who mourn the loss of a kind father and husband.
