GEORGE RULONEdgewood, Ia., -SPECIAL: Funeral services for George Alvin Rulon, 79, were held Saturday afternoon at the Platt Funeral Home. In charge is the Rev. S. W. Halfhill of the Church of God. Mr. Rulon died at the home of his granddaughter in Eugene, Ore., March 28.
Burial was in Elk Cemetery, eight miles east of here.
Mr. Rulon was born Nov. 2, 1857, at Wood, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rulon, pioneers of the township. He was married to Minnie Florence Combs at Greeley on Sept. 1, 1883. She died Feb. 18, 1907. After the death of Mrs. Rulon, Mr. Rulon and his four children left the farm and moved to Cedar Rapids where he was engaged in the masonry business with the Rev. Halfhill. Later the family moved to South Dakota and in 1921 went to Oregon.
Mr. Rulon is survived by two sons, two daughters, one brother, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
