Mabel Johanna, little daughter of Willis and Augusta Jones, was born at Cresco, Iowa, Aug. 6, 1906*, and died March 10, 1908, at the tender age of 7 months and 4 days.

On Thursday of last week the remains were brought from Cresco to Luana, and from there were taken to the United Brethren church in Wagner township, where impressive funeral services were held and where she was laid to rest by the side of her little sister, who preceded her in death in 1891. The services were conducted by Rev. H. Haag, of Monona.

Father, mother, one sister and five brothers mourn her departure. The mother was confined to her bed by an attack of appendicitis, and therefore could not be present at the funeral.

The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved home.

"Angels whisper that our darling
Is in lands of love so fair,
That her little feet are waiting
Close beside the golden stair.
Oh! we pray to meet our darling,
For a long, long, sweet embrace,
Where the little feet are waiting,
And we meet her face to face."
