VENUS, LUERS, LIERS

Last Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock, the angel of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Venus, taking away their infant son Joseph, at the tender age of two weeks. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all.

Card of Thanks:
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Venus wish to express their sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted them during the short sickness and burial of their precious babe.

The 1885 census enumerates Louis & Margretha Venus in Clayton twp. Most likely burial place is the Clayton cemetery, where his mother is buried. She died about 1 month after little Joseph.
