James Murphy one of best young men, died of consumption at the home of his mother, Tuesday morning, March 19th. He was 23 years and 20 days of age.

Highly respected by all, his death will be sincerely mourned, and his bereaved mother, brother and sister will have the heartfelt sympathy of our entire community in their great affliction.

The funeral will be held at Clayton church Thursday morning at 9 o’clock, after which his remains will be taken to Garnavillo for interment.
