ALVIN LOUIS KAISER 1888-1978
Alvin Louis Kaiser, son of Karl Kaiser and Margaretha nee Meyer, was born on November 30, 1888, in Monona, Iowa. On January 13, 1889, he was baptized at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Monona. After instruction he confirmed his baptism on April 5, 1903, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Monona.
He attended the Monona public schools.
In 1914, he was united in marriage with Amanda Seeland. In May of 1931 she died.
On September 14, 1932, he was united in marriage with Louise Funk; she died on January 24, 1977.
He farmed in the Monona area until 1962 when they moved into Monona.
On January 29, 1978, he died at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 27 days.
In 1935 Helen and Reuben Hoth were taken into their home and later adopted when they were adults.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, two sisters and one brother.
Surviving him are one daughter, Helen Reinhardt of Dow City, Iowa; one son, Reuben Hoth of Monona; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He served one term of the church council, was an avid gardener and mechanically inclined.
