Services Held For Willard Kamin

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Lutheran church, Luana, for Willard H. Kamin, 66, who died Sunday morning, Jan. 30, at the Community Memorial Hospital, having suffered a cerebral stroke Saturday evening. The Rev. John Mohr officiated. Interment was in the Luana Lutheran cemetery.

Willard H. Kamin, son of Henry Kamin and Ida Schroeder, was born Nov. 21, 1905 in Clayton county, Monona township, Luana. He was baptized Dec. 31, 1905 at St. John Lutheran church, Luana, by Pastor Paulsen and confirmed there July 28, 1918 by Pastor Westenberger. He was a lifelong resident of the community and member of St. John Lutheran church, serving as senior deacon last year, a member of the choir and Brotherhood. He received his education in the Luana school and attended Upper Iowa University for two years.

He was married Nov. 9, 1935 to Anne Schroeder at Wykoff, Minn. They were the parents of two children. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lester.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, a member of the Luana school faculty; two sons, Eugene of Hopkins, Minn. and Carroll of Stockland, Ill.; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Milo Kalke of Floyd.
