Edgewood - Friends were deeply grieved and shocked to hear on Sunday of the death of Meryn Peters at his home in a suburb of Los Angeles, Calif. Meryn was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Peters, who have always lived here until the past year and a half, when they went to California to be near Meryn, who had gone there in the hopes that the climate might benefit his health.

He leaves besides his parents, one brother, Charles, of this place, and his widow and little son Arthur. The wife, son and parents were with him.

Meryn was a veteran of the World War and was gassed in one of the offensives. His lungs were so badly affected that he was constantly in need of medical care. Thus another fine young man falls a victim to the ravages of war.

Details of the funeral are not known at this time but it is supposed that the body will be returned to the old home where interment will be made in the local resting place.
