The sad news of John Cord’s death which occurred, Jan. 1st, 1889, is heart-breaking to Mrs. Cords.

This is the second death which has occurred in her family in a very short time, both being promising young men, and highly respected.

John was confined with bronchitis, shortly after getting over a siege of diphtheria, which caused his death. He was buried Thursday, 1 P.M. A large funeral followed him to his final resting place.
