Mrs. Jorgen Gunderson died Tuesday August 22nd and was buried August 26th at the Norway Church Cemetery. Many relatives and friends accompanied her to her last rest.

Mrs. Gunderson was born at Kittlestad, Nummedal, Norway, March 29, 1854. She came to this country in 1857. February 17th (No year given.) she was married to Mr. Jorgen Gunderson. Rev. Ole Valdeland married them at Norway church.

The marriage was blessed with four children, Joren, who died at the age of fourteen years, Inger, now Mrs. Thore Thompson, who lives at Wadena, Emma and Josie, who have been at home taking care of their mother with their dear father.

Mr. and Mrs. Gunderson have lived on the old place since they married. Mrs. Gunderson has been in poor health for about five years. She was a good wife and a dear mother. As long as she was able she attended church and also partook at the Ladies Aid work. She will be missed but what was our loss was her gain.

Rev. Arveson officiated at the funeral at the house and church and at the cemetery.
