Monona - Funeral services for Fred Kolbe, aged 63, were held at 1:30, Wednesday afternoon, from the C. G. Schultz funeral home, and burial was made in the city cemetery. Mr. Kolbe died suddenly Sunday evening of a heart attack. He has four children, Dorothy, Jessie and Marian, and Harold Kolke. One daughter preceded him in death. Two brothers also survive him, Gus and Otto Kolbe, of Monona.

He was working as a bricklayer in Prairie du Chien, and had spent his life in and near Monona.
