Funeral Services For Two Residents Held This Week

Mrs. Albert Huckstadt

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Huckstadt, wife of Albert Huckstadt, were held at St. John’s Lutheran church Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 1:45 o’clock. The Rev. H. M. Adix, pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Huckstadt was born in Germany, Feb. 8, 1874, and came to America in 1894. On Sept. 2, 1894, she was married to Albert Huckstadt.

She died at her home in Farmersburg, Saturday, Jan. 15, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and seven days. She is survived by her husband and six children. One daughter, Mrs. Anna Schmidt, died several months ago. The rest are: Edward of Elkader; Mrs. Alice Reardon; Hilda, Mrs. Fred Schroeder; Arno; Emma, Mrs. Glen Walter; and Elmer, all of this vicinity. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.

[NOTE: Her maiden name was Marie Ihlenfeldt.]
