Died at the residence of her son, John McCraney, in McGregor, February 9th, 1868, Mrs. Susan McCraney, in the 71st year of her age.

The deceased was the mother of Orlando, John and Thomas McCraney. We had known her for nearly 20 years and record the above with sorrow. She was respected and loved by all who knew her.

Though domestic troubles were many and heavy upon her she bore them with a Christian fortitude.
