Services for Katherine 'Kathy' Scadden, 42, of Guttenberg were conducted by Father Paul Peters at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mrs. Scadden died Saturday afternoon, July 18, 1992 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a long illness.

Pallbearers were Harry Nuehring, Churck Hansel, Bob Livingston, Owen Hess, Rod Tangeman and Gary Randall.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home.

Katherine Mary Scadden was a daughter of Jack and Tillie (Miller) Gull and was born in Guttenberg Oct. 11, 1949. she graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1967 and attended the University of Wisconsin at Platteville for one year. She was active in community service and was owner and operator of the family business, Gull Jewelers in Guttenberg.

On Sept. 28, 1985 she was married at St. Mary Church to Richard Scadden, who survives.

Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. John (Michelle) Hines and Marcia Gratace, both of Guttenberg; and her mother, Tillie Gull of Guttenberg.

She was preceded in death by her father in November of 1969.

Note: Burial is in Hansel cemetery, where her name is engraved on the same stone as her parents. Her married name is not on the stone. She was first married to Mark Gratace, they divorced. Second marriage as in obituary.
