BORRETT, SUTTER, MOSER

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Guttenberg Methodist church for Mrs. Barbara Borrett, 85, who died last Friday at a Dubuque hospital following a long illness.

The services were conducted by Rev. Martin Miller, pastor of the Guttenberg Methodist church and burial was in the Hansel cemetery near Garber in charge of the Tuecke funeral home. Pallbearers for the rites were Jerome Moser, Lawrence Moser, Nathan Moser and Lowell Moser.

Mrs. Borrett, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sutter, was born August 4, 1876, in Switzerland, and came to America at the age of five years. She had lived in this community for 58 years.

On February 18, 1903, she was married to George Borrett, who died on September 2, 1946.

Surviving Mrs. Borrett are a daughter, Mrs. Francis Moser; seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
