Died in this place on Saturday, November 24th, 1860, Walter Snedigar, son of Fielding and Miranda B. Snedigar, aged 2 years and 14 days.

Farewell, sweet child, farewell;

‘Tis hard with thee to part,

But God has taken thee away,

To wean from earth my heart.

Farewell, sweet child, farewell,

Till God shall bid thee rise,

And join the holy, blood-washed throng,

Triumphant in the skies.

Farewell, sweet child, farewell,

Till God shall call me home,

To sing with thee redeeming love,

Around His glorious throne.
