Little Son Passes Away.

On last Friday morning, November 19, 1920, little Duane Otto Lake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Lake, of this city, passed away at the age of 7 months and 28 days, after a lingering illness. He was born at Guttenberg, Iowa, on March 21, 1920, but had been in poor health the greater part of his short life on this earth. All that loving hands could do and medical knowledge could suggest was done for him to ward off death, but all failed, when the Angel of Death called him to the other and more happier world. Funeral services were held at the Calvin Lake home on Sunday morning at ten o’clock, Rev. D. D. Welch officiating. The little body was laid to rest in the City Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Lake have the sympathy of all in this community, as little Duane was the sunshine of their home, and their only child. The funeral was largely attended.
