Sullivan Rites Held on Thursday in Michigan City

Funeral services were held last Thursday at Lansing, Michigan, for Mrs. Hattie Smart Sullivan, 84, who died at Lansing following a long illness. Mrs. Sullivan was a former resident of Guttenberg, having been born here.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Smart, Mrs. Sullivan taught school in Clayton County for a number of years and for a time was in the local postoffice.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wiley S. Friedlein of Lansing, a grandson, Robert W. Friedlein, and a brother Elmer G. Smart.
