TACKMANN SERVICES ARE HELD
_______Rites Held Saturday For Native of Volga Twp.
_______BURIAL HERE
_______Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon from St. Paul’s Lutheran church for Frederik [sic] C. Tackmann, 71, native of Volga township, who died at his home last Wednesday. The services were in charge of Rev. J. F. Eshbaugh.
Native of Volga TownshipBurial was in the Guttenberg city cemetery in charge of the Beerman funeral home.
Born in Volga township, July 12, 1871, Mr. Tackmann was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Tackmann. On November 17, 1897, he married Carolina Fehlhafer. The couple lived on a farm in Garnavillo township until 1929, when they moved to Guttenberg to make their home. Mrs. Tackmann died June 3, 1939.
Children SurviveSurviving are two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Herman Seidel and Mrs. Henry Block of Guttenberg, Emil Tackmann of Clayton, Herbert Tackmann of Clayton and Delbert Tackmann of McGregor.
Also surviving are four brothers, Henry Tackmann of Guttenberg, and Louis, William and Charles Tackmann, all of Clayton; as well as seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. Tackmann was preceded in death by Mrs. Tackmann and one brother John and one sister Mary.
