Monona, Ia., Dec. 31 - Funeral services for Hans Nelson, 84, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Norway church, with burial in the Norway cemetery.

Hans Nelson was born near Kongsvinger, Norway, Sept. 16, 1848, and died Dec. 28, 1930. His age was 84 years, 3 months and 12 days. He was married to Mattie Halverson, April 23, 1877, who preceded him in death, Jan. 08, 1929, To this union were born three children, one passed away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Mae, his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nelson, with their family of five children, Dorothy, Clifford, Arleen, Leighten and Lela, all of St. Olaf. Funeral services were held at the Norway church, Dec. 31, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated.
