Joachim Ihde
Joachim Ihde was born Feb. 4th, 1828, in Grabow, Mecklenburg, Germany. He married Elizabeth Palm, who proceeded him in death Dec. 8th, 1903. They emigrated to this country in 1860 and settled on a farm in Clayton County, retiring and coming to town in 1897. Since the death of his wife he made his home with his son William and part of the time with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Luehsen, where he died Tuesday morning, Nov. 15th after a short illness.
He is survived by his four children, Mrs. Wilhelmina Nobbman of Lincoln, Neb., August of Cook, Neb., Mrs. Mary Luehsen and William of this place, all of who were present at the funeral, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one brother, Fritz Ihde.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Braun were held on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 17th, 1910. Burial in the city cemetery.
