Died at his home in Buck Creek, May 30, 1896, Joseph Henry Tuecke, at the age of 47 years, 10 months. Mr. Tuecke was born July 18, 1848 in Ceres, Iowa.

In February 1875 he was married to Christina Bergman, of Clayton county. No children blessed their union.

A few days before his death, Mr. Tuecke suffered somewhat from headache, which growing worse developed into spinal meningitis. He died after a short but violent illness. He was buried at Ceres, Monday, Jun 1, 1896, Rev. O. Gammelin officiating.
