Strawberry Point- Joe Fink, 92, one of Strawberry Point's oldest residents; at his home here Wednesday; was a retired farmer and made his home with his daughter Mrs. E. S. Jackson.

Strawberry Point - Joseph Fink, one of Strawberry Point's oldest residents and perhaps the oldest male resident here, died on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.S. Jackson, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Born in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany, on February 16, 1858, he lived in Germany for 26 years and then came to the United States where he married Miss Kuney Schram who had been born in Nuremberg, Germany. They were married at St. Sebald Lutheran church Feb. 28, 1888, by the Rev. G.H. Fuehr.
They began farming south and west of Strawberry Point and continued to farm for 40 years before retiring.
Six children were born to this union, all of whom survive. They are: Mrs. E.S. Jackson (Emma) and Mrs. Clair Howland (Minnie) of Strawberry Point; Mrs. W.A. Boag (Bertha) of Marshalltown; Mrs. A.A. Mikota (Edith) and Ed Fink of Cedar Rapids, and Fred Fink of Aurora. There are also eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceding him death were his wife, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Nov. 17 at 1:30 at the Gill funeral chapel and at 2 o'clock at Emanuel Lutheran church in Strawberry Point with the Rev. S.J. Meyer officiating. Interment was at the Strawberry Point cemetery.
