Strawberry Point- Services for Otto G. Gipper, 51, who died Wednesday, were held Friday in Gill chapel here.

Otto George Gipper, 51, died Jan. 04 at University Hospital in Iowa City following a sudden illness.
Born Jan. 19, 1898, to Henry Gipper and Mary Portz Gipper, he lived the greater part of his life in Strawberry Point, having moved to Waterloo five years ago.
He was married in 1924 to Leta Opperman at Hawkeye.
He is survived by three sisters, two brothers, and two half-sisters. The sisters are: Mrs. Julia Wendland, Hawkeye; Mrs. Fred Rebaschus, Strawberry Point; and Mrs. Ed. Selck, Tripoli; the brothers are: Henry and August Gipper, both of Strawberry Point; and the half-sisters are: Mrs. Mary Lamphier, Volga; and Mrs. Martha Tesmer, Waucoma.
Preceding him in death were his wife Leta, his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 06, at the Gill chapel at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. S. J. Meyer of Emmanuel Lutheran church officiating at the service. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
