Garber- Donald D. Scheffert, 68, of Rural Garber, died Friday afternoon in his home after a sudden illness. Private services: Sunday. Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Elkader. There will be no visitation. Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; a son, Dale of Garber; and two daughters, Donell Larson of McGregor and Darla Zittergruen of Garber.
