Cedar Rapids- Gerald F. Demuth, 56, of 647 32nd St. SE, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 1996, in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, All Saints Catholic Church, by the Very Rev. Charles Lang. Burial: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerilen Demuth of Williamsburg; two brothers, Clem of Earlville and John of Cullam, Ala.; and a sister, Joen Demuth of San Francisco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Gerald was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., the son of John and Esther O'Brien Demuth. He worked at the Rockwell-Collins as an inspector for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Gerald was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and IBEW 1362. He served in the Army.
A memorial fund has been established. The casket will be closed at all times.
