Guttenberg- Ruth Marie (Schrunk) Kolker Benstine: Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Harold McMillin. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 10, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation service, Guttenberg.

Guttenberg- Ruth Marie (Shrunk) Kolker Benstine, 87, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Guttenberg Care Center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Harold McMillin. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 10, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Ruth was a homemaker and was employed by the Garnavillo School, teaching the trainable class for 17 years.

She was born, the daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Mock) Schrunk, on March 9, 1916, in Turkey River.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice (Jon) Andregg and Judy Tepper, both of Guttenberg; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Kolker of Guttenberg; three sons, Jay (Joann) Kolker of Dubuque and Jerry (Pat) Kolker and James (Sandy) Kolker, both of Guttenberg; a sister, Mayme (Walter) Elgseder of Guttenberg; a brother, Ray Schrunk of Minneapolis, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, John Kolker and Eddie Benstine; a son, John R. Kolker; a sister, Edith Schrunk; a brother, Gerald Schrunk; and a son-in-law, Matt Tepper.
