Monona- Sidney Louis Chickering, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1997, in Northgate Care Center, Waukon, after a brief illness. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, where friends may call after noon Saturday. Burial: Monona City Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ila; two daughters, Dorothy Thompson of Oregon, Wis., and Joyce Lyons of Waukon; and a son, Eugene of Harlan.
