Guttenberg- E. Elizabeth "Liz" Webster was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Waucoma, Iowa, the daughter of George and Jessie Perry Dungey. She died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Karl Goodfellow and the Rev. Wayne Wasla. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
Liz graduated from Waucoma High School and Luther College in Decorah. She taught English and was a homemaker for many years. She was a member and organist of the United Methodist Church, member of the Guttenberg Book Club, Ingleside Club, Guttenberg Hospital Auxiliary and a fifty-year member of Guttenberg Pearl Chapter 143 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Neil; a son, Walter (Nancy) Webster of Dubuque; a brother, Perry (Addie) Dungey of Wauconia, Minn.; a half-sister, Helen (Bill) Dunkle of Waterloo; and many friends.
Her parents and a half-brother, Loren Schultz, preceded her in death.
