Services Held For Mrs. Wahls

Funeral services for Mrs. Laraldo Wahls, 64, were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Reverend Julius Peterson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Geneva Myrtle, daughter of Albert and Minnie (Winters) Gilson, was born Jan. 22, 1920 near Volney. She died Nov. 4 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

She was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Volney. She attended the Volney country school and Waukon High School.

Sept. 29, 1937 she was married to Laraldo Fred Wahls. They were the parents of three children. They farmed in the Monona, Castalia, and Postville areas, moving to their present farm in 1952. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the LCW and the West Post Project Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving besides her husband, Laraldo, are a son, Allen, Postville; two daughters, Luann (Mrs. Harold Muller) St. Paul, MN and Donna (Mrs. Nile Zieman) Postville, seven grandchildren, and four sisters, Frances Miene, Luana, Mrs. Gaylord (Lois) Moose, Monona, Mrs. Francis (Alice) Rooney, Steuben, WI and Mrs. George (Hazel) Beisker, Littleton, CO.
