Edgewood-- Helen M. Ingles, 84, of Guttenberg, formerly of the Edgewood/Colesburg area, died Saturday night, Nov. 2, 2002, in the Guttenberg Care Center after a long illness. There will be no services. Her body was donated to the University of Iowa for medical research. Leonard Funeral Home, Edgewood, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Bissell of the Guttenberg Care Center.

Helen M. Ingles, 84, of Guttenberg, formerly of the Edgewood/Colesburg area, died Saturday night, November 2, 2002 at the Guttenberg Care Center, following a long illness.

She was born April 13, 1918 near Edgewood to Bert and Clara (Combs) Nimmo. She was educated in the Elk Creek School.

She married Harlan Ingles in 1946. They farmed and spent their early-married years on Harlan's home farm on Elk Creek. Helen was known for her penmanship, quick wit and business ability. She had no children, but was a mother to many.

A sister, Margaret Bissell who resides at the Guttenberg Care Center and several nieces and nephews, survive her.

Three brother, Jay, Ray and Bill, preceeded her in death.

There will be no services. Her body was donated to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City for medical research.
