Elkader-- Funeral services for Miss Agnes Foran, 70, who passed away at Mercy Hospital at Cedar Rapids Tuesday, will be held Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elkader with the Very Rev. Monsignor B. H. Skahill, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Miss Foran was a pioneer resident of the Elkader community, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Foran, who were prominent pioneers of this community. She was born and raised on a farm near Elkader and lived there until 1908 when she and her mother retired to Elkader. In 1943 she went to Milwaukee to make her home with her sister.
About a month ago she came to Elkader to visit friends. She became ill a week ago with bronchial pneumonia.
Miss Foran is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles Monlux of Milwaukee and six brothers, James of Postville, Matt of Muskogee, Ok., Ed and Joseph of Minneapolis, Pat of Los Angeles, Ca., and Francis of Cedar Rapids.
