Elkader-- Funeral services for Carl R. Ehrhardt, 68, Elkader farmer, will be held Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ehrhardt died at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, late Tuesday afternoon after suffering a severe attack of the flu.

Mr. Ehrhardt was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ehrhardt, pioneer farmers of the community, and was born June 3, 1887, on a farm 2 1/2 miles northwest of Elkader, where he had spent his entire lifetime.

He was married to Marie Roach of Elkader in 1917. She survives him with four daughters: Mrs. Gerald (Mary Rita) Mulroney, Des Moines; Mrs. Calvin (Eileen) Williams, Dallas, TX.; Mrs. Eugene ( LaVonne) Sandor, Waterloo; Sister Mary Jane (Virginia), Mt. Mercy Convent, Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Elmer and George, Oelwein, Fred of Sac City, and Edward of Elkader.

Mr. Ehrhardt had served as clerk of Boardman township for the past 15 years.
