Edgewood, Ia. - Funeral services for Frank E. Brady, 70, were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. The Rev. W.B.H. O'Neill, pastor of the local Congregational church, officiated. Burial was in Edgewood cemetery. Mr. Brady died Thursday.
Mr. Brady was born Sept. 6, 1874, six miles southeast of Edgewood, on the J.M. Brady homestead. He was the son of William and Hananah Brady.
On Sept. 11, 1901, he married Miss Ethel Wright at Strawberry Point, Ia. Three years of their life were spent on a farm near Strawberry Point, after which they moved to near Edgewood. Ill health caused them to retire from their farm to Edgewood, early in the spring.
Surviving, besides the widow, are three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Knickerbocker, Thorpe, Ia.; Mrs. George Lewis, Edgewood and Mrs. Elmer Dehn, Manchester, Ia.; and two brothers, John Brady, Dubuque and Ben Brady, Rockford, Ill.
