Elkader-- Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Eva) Bauer, 82, pioneer resident of Elkader, will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bauer died at General Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., Monday. She had been hospitalized one day.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Art Donlon, Elkader; Mrs. Evelyn Miller, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Thor Fisko, Prairie du Chien; and Helen Bauer, at home; and one son, Clarence, on the home farm. One sister, Agnes Tujetsch, Elkader, also survives as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1944. The couple had retired from farming in 1928 and moved to Elkader.

The body lies in state at Witt Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 tonight (Tuesday) and at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
