Monona, Ia. - Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Tangeman, 75, at Saskatoon, Sask., Canada, on Aug. 11. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meyer, pioneer residents of Clayton County, and was born in Garnavillo Township, June 23, 1869.
She was married to August F. Tangeman Nov. 6, 1890. The couple lived on a farm near Barnavillo (sic) until Feb. 1, 1914, when they moved to Hawarden, Sask., Canada. Mr. Tangeman preceded her in death in February, 1923.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Aug. 14, at Saskatoon. Reinterment will be made beside her husband in the family lot at Garnavillo, after the war.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Will Norris, Saskatoon, Sask., Mrs. Claude Burnett and Mrs. Albert Feltis, both of Hawarden, Sask.; one son, Carl Tangeman of Davidson, Sask.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Henry Wolf, Elkader, Ia.; one brother, William Meyer, Rockwell, Ia.; four sisters, Emmelia Meyer and Mrs. James Foran, Elkader; Mrs. John Meyer, Garnavillo and Mrs. Mamie Drahn, Monona, Ia.
