Strawberry Point, Ia. - Mrs. Elom Lamphere, 51, died Monday at the University hospital, Iowa City, Ia., where she had been a patient for 10 days. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Mrs. Lamphere, the former Mabel Moyle, daughter of James and Jessie Smith Moyle, was born near Strawberry Point on Aug. 2, 1893. In 1912 she was married to Elom Lamphere at Manchester, Ia. She spent her entire life in this community.

She is survived by her husband; her parents, Mederville, Ia.; two sons, Harold, Aurora, Ia., and Henry, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Sargent and Mrs. Arnold Lamphier, both of Strawberry Point, Irvin Cords, of Elkader, Ia., and Dorothy, at home; nine grandchildren; seven brothers, Ray, Greeley, Ia., Carl, Leslie, Marion and Vern, all of Strawberry Point, and Edward and Ervin, in the armed forces; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Hanson and Mrs. Harold Dunsmoor, both of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Lavern Wilcos, Scales Mound, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at the Gill Funeral chapel at a time to be announced later.
