McGregor-- May Wirkler, 78, died Monday at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She had worked as a secretary at the McGregor Utility Plant until retirement.

Surviving are her husband, Woodrow; a son, Lee of McGregor; and four sisters, Helen Grossheim of Waukon, and Anita Lindemann, Doretta Williams and Amy Scrogum, all of McGregor.

Services: 2 p.m. today at the First Congregational Church, McGregor. Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to noon today at Thornburg's, McGregor, and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
