Garnavillo-- Oliver Henry Schmelzer, 80, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, in Great River Care Center, McGregor, after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, by the Rev. Richard Gaul. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m.

Survivors include a sister, Angeline Berns of Garnavillo and two brothers, Kenneth of Elkader and Lorraine of Garnavillo.
