Strawberry Point-- Verneta Violet Faust, 77, died Friday, June 12, 1998, in her home after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Emanuel Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Steven Rye. Burial Edgewood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home, Strawberry Point.

Survivors include her husband, Walter; two sons, Kenneth of Strawberry Point and Edward of Lamont; five daughters, Lillian Sutterlee of Manchester, Carolyn Williams of Winthrop, Mary Ann Hilby of Manchester, Marilyn Voshell of Strawberry Point and Janice Larson of Fayette; her mother, Merle Opperman of Strawberry Point; a brother, Richard Opperman of Fayette; and a sister, Beverly Welch of Cedar Rapids.
