Lawrence A. Felder, 77, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in the Guttenberg Care Center after a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Father Marvin Bries will officiate. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Service & Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; five daughters, Jeanne Eilers of Guttenberg, Dianne Duwe of Garnavillo, Debra Hayes of Siren, Wis., Denise Jensen of Deerfield, Ill., and Carol Hoeger of Farley; a son, Mark of Post Falls, Idaho; and three sisters, Florence Felder of Troy, Mo., Rita McCauley of Shullsburg, Wis., and Theresa Troester of Vernal, Utah.

Lawrence A. Felder

Lawrence A. Felder, 77, of Guttenberg died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004 at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Services were conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Bob Eilers, Mike Eilers, Steve Jensen, Shawn Jensen, Nicholas Hoeger and Christopher Hoeger.

Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg.

Visitation was from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Lawrence A. Felder was born the son of Albert and Rose (Miller) Felder, March 10, 1927, in Guttenberg. He received his education from St. Mary's School, served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked for the railroad as depot agent for many years.

He enjoyed photography, flea markets and was an avid collector.

On Aug. 19, 1950, he was united in marriage with Loretta Lamphier at St. Mary's church in Guttenberg.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Loretta Felder; five daughters, Jeanne (Richard) Eilers of Guttenberg, Dianne (Dale) Lamphier Duwe of Garnavillo, Debra (Gerald) Hayes of Siren, Wis., Denise (Warren) Jensen of Deerfield, Ill., and Carol (Allen) Hoeger of Farley; one son, Mark (Carol) Felder of Post Falls, Idaho; three sisters, Florence Felder of Troy, Mo., Rita (LeRoy) McCauley of Shullsburg, Wis., and Theresa (Herb) Troester of Vernal, Utah; nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Felder and Christopher Felder; one daughter-in-law, Linda Felder; one grandson, Charles Eilers; one sister, Martha Whittenbaugh, and one brother, Ray.
