Elkader, Ia. - Services for Mrs. Marie M. Asmus, 70, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Witt Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in East Side cemetery.

Mrs. Asmus died Tuesday night at her farm home near Elkader. She was born Jan. 23, 1882 in Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blades Schrampfer. She came with them to the United States at the age of 15 years. They farmed near Elkader. In 19000 she was married to Karl Asmus, who died several years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Henry and Walter, both of Elkader, and two brothers, Henry Schrampfer of Merrill, Wis., and Christ Schrampfer, of Elkader.
