Elkader, Ia. - Mrs. Virgil Uriell, 40, mother of four, died of cancer at 5 p.m. Monday at her farm home six miles southeast of Elkader. Friends may call at the McTaggart Funeral Home here where the Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Wednesday by the St. Joseph Catholic Guild. A general Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hall, she was born at Elkport, Ia. and taught in rural schools until her marriage to Virgil Uriell Sept. 5, 1942. She is survived by her husband and four children, Mary, 15, John, 13, Edward, 11 and Rose Ann, 7; two brothers, Elias Hall, Elkader, and Clair Hall, Chicago; and one sister, Mrs. Walter Szemkus, Garber, Ia.
