Harlan Bugenhagen, 23, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bugenhagen and who had been in ill health for some time died at the Sunny Crest Sanitarium at Dubuque Monday morning.

~Notes: Although not given in this brief death notice, burial place is most likely St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Luana. His parents, Edwin & Lydia (Backes) Bugenhagen, and at least one brother & other family members are buried there.
