Leslie D. Fett

Funeral services for Leslie D. Fett were held Tuesday, March 15, 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona Pastor Harold O. Ward officiated. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona in charge of services.

Leslie D. Fett was born December 23, 1913 in Watson, Linton Twp., Clayton County, to parents Carl and Wilhemina Kiester Fett. He was baptized March 23, 1914, by Pastor Glaeser in Monona and confirmed February 12, 1939, at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana, by Pastor Adix. He received his education in country school.

He married Leila Nuehring on April 27, 1938 at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana. The couple had 2 sons. Leslie worked in a lime quarry and did commercial trucking. He worked as a tank wagon salesman for Farm Service out of Elkader for 22 years. He was also a Vigortone salesman until retiring in 1974. The couple lived in Froelich, Iowa until moving to Monona five years ago.

He died Saturday, March 12, 1988, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI.

Preceding him in death were his parents, 4 brothers, Oscar, Ernie, William and Charles and 5 sisters, Marie Davis, Elsie Marron, Lydia Fett, Mattie Burlingame and Elizabeth Bindig.

Surviving is his wife, Leila; 2 sons, Robert of Sun Prairie, WI and Lee Allen of Dallas, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Lorene Pettit of Prairie du Chien, WI and Elda Bray of Monona.

Pallbearers were Curt Nuehring, Lanny Marting, Terry Swenson, Brian Fett, Arlen Nuehring and Reginald Gross.
