Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday, 8 Dec. 1936.

Jay E. / John E. and Lydia B. Anderson were killed in a kerosene explosion fire at their home in McGregor, Iowa, on 8 Dec. 1936. Also killed were 5 of their 7 children making the event one of the worst loss of life fires in Iowa history.
